Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano joined with the Nassau County Public High School Athletic Association to announce the establishment of a Nassau County High School Athletics Hall of Fame.

Dr. James Tolle, executive director of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents, received the honorable distinction of being among the first to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Crest Hollow Country Club.

Dr. Tolle has been involved in Section VIII for more than 50 years. As a former administrator/educator, he served the Uniondale, Malverne, Garden City and Roslyn school districts. He has an exemplary reputation for commitment and dedication to education, children and interscholastic athletics. He is also the past president of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association and a member of its Hall of Fame. Congratulations, Dr. Tolle!
